I'm Ben Mörzinger, an engineer from Vienna. PhD at TU Wien in Manufacturing Data and Knowledge Graphs. After that, I co-founded nista.io — an energy management platform that we built from idea to product with six-figure ARR over 6 years. 500+ customer conversations, 1.5M€ in funding, ISO 50001-compliant software for industry.
nista.io went insolvent in 2025. That's part of the story. What remains: deep understanding of the energy sector, of building software products for industry, and of the mistakes you can make along the way.
Today I work as an independent consultant with industrial companies that want to advance their digitalization — pragmatic, technically grounded, and with the knowledge of what it takes to not just conceive a product, but actually bring it to market.
